Aloha Gang! Well the past two days I posted have been very good, as I went a combined 9W-4L= +22 Units. Topping off those two winning days was my Game of the Year Winner with the Hawaii Warriors.
They provided all that followed, a sweet way to end the day. Well, today is another day which may turn out the same way as Thursday. But for now lets us concentrate on hitting the early and middle games first. So Lets get to Rockin! By the way, I will have another play on Hawaii later on, I want to verify more info first and then watch this line abit.
5 Unit Plays on:
Miss +1.5(WIN), S. Miss +10.5(LOSE), Nevada -4(WIN)
-Ole Miss is coming off a huge win at home against LSU and that has to give them some momentum today. This win happened in the right time as they also catch an Ala squad that is coming off a big win on the road at Georgia. Problem though is in the process, Ala lost their top scorer in Ernest Shelton for the rest of the season, due to a knee injury. This is not good news for Ala, as they have struggled already on the road this year going 2-4. Ole Miss takes advantage of this loss with a big win today.
-I like the Golden Eagles today, because they are simply tough at home where they are undefeated going 9-0. I also dont think that this talented Cincy squad is at all intimidating to them as they already traveled to Cincy last year and came away with a win. Add this non-intimidation factor with the fact that SMiss is well rested, and the possibility that Cincy may still be reeling from their ass spanking they got from Louisville, and I see a possible upset here today.
-Nevada was voted to be the WAC's top team this year. I still believe that they do have the talent to back it up. Rice is playing great ball so far, but this is their second straight road game, and they are traveling to place where the home team is a perfect 6-0. I see Nevada taking care of the up and coming Rice squad and gain back some ground in the race for the WAC title. With this line listed at 4 pts it is a gift to me, and one where the Wolfpack should easily cover by double digits today.
4 Unit Plays on:
Utah -3, GT -1, Wash St -2, UCLA +5
-Utah on a 9 game win streak, and bring to this game a Defense that can be very smothering to its opponents. They should have the size advantage today and have been successful on the road so far this year posting a 6-3 mark. New Mexico is coming into this one on a 2 game slide and this is not a time to be facing a team like Utah who is rested and hitting on all cylinders right now. The 3 pts is very coverable today , and that is anther reason I like Utah today.
-GT was so impressive in their road win at Wake Forrest, that I simply cannot see going against them in this one. NC State has been a tough opponent at home, but I feel this Tech team is simply to good and always seems to find ways to win. Today, they find a way to get another big win.
-I have to go against this Cali squad and again base it on my same reasoning I used to go against them in Thursday's game where they were favs of 7pts to USC and barely won. I simply cannot back a squad whos record is under .500 and playing a team who I feel is just as or more talented in UCLA. To many undeserving points in this one. Take the gift again with UCLA. Possible outright upset wouldnt shock me in this one.
-This game between the two has been simply a home team series, as the last 7 games played between the two have been won by the home team. The BB teams seem to follow the FB teams and always wins at home whenever and whomever is the home team in games between the two. In Big Rivalry Games like these, the advantages always goes to the home team. This game should follow suit again, and Wash's struggles on the road this year going 2-5 should help get that Cougar win.
3 Unit Plays on:
Depaul +6, BYU -1, Fresno St -6, Utah St -6
-Marq's loss of their leader Diener has got to hurt their play in this one. He is still listed as questionable, but even if he suits up, I cant see him being to effective in this matchup. Depaul comes in on a 3 game win streak , while Marq is going downhill with 3 consecutive losses. With Diener's status and Marq's recent slump, I cannot pass up the points with the team who is playing better ball.
-Although BYU is struggling on the road of late, I simply feel that their size should play a big advantage in controlling AF today. This series between the two has simply been dominated by the Courgars winning the last 4 of 5 played. Another stat to look at in this one is that BYU avgs more points on the road, then AF avgs scoring at home. But I like the fact that BYU has alot more depth in this one and that should help wear down this AF squad in their house today.
-Both of these teams are coming off of losses, but I have to think Fresno St has more motivation in this one if it wants to stay within reach of the WAC title. This is also a home series game between the two, as the home team has won the last 7. Plus, Tulsa on the road has simply been terrible, going 1-7 this year.
-Utah St is 14-1 overall and 5-1 on the road. Cal Riv is just 2-2 in their last 4 games at home. Utah St is just way more talented and should win this one by dd easily. Utah St is the top team in their Conf, and today they again show why.
-Well we have a big card today Gang. But this one I feel we have the situational advantages on our side, and they should provide us with a profitable day again. Like I mentioned earlier, I will have a selection on the Hawaii game , as I like that one to. So check back later for my play, as well as any other plays which I may be putting out later. Till then, Good Luck to all and Aloha Co-Captain.
